1. Tier 19 & 20 Set Bonuses
The 2-piece Tier 20 Set Bonus is really bad on its own and has almost no practical usage. You are unlikely to use it unless those two pieces are your best items in their slots. The 4-piece Bonus is average to good.
The 2-piece Tier 19 Set Bonus is pretty strong. It provides anywhere from
3-5% throughput, depending on how often you cast
Wild Growth. There is
a very high chance you will be using at least 2 of the highest Tier 19 Set
Bonus item level pieces long into Tomb of Sargeras. The 4-piece is even
stronger. It provides anywhere from 4-8% of throughput and increases the power
of
Aman'Thul's Wisdom substantially.
2. Legendary Items
Legendary items have a high item level of 970, which makes them extremely strong. They are so strong, in fact, that a legendary item is always going to be worth equipping over any other item you might have in that slot.
However, there is a limitation on the number of legendary items you can have equipped at any one time (by default 1, but by now most players should be able to equip 2). Since some legendary items are better than others, if you have more items than the limit, you will have to choose which ones to equip.
Below, we will do our best to guide you through this process, as well as provide any other relevant information.
Velen's Future Sight is strong in everything. It fills one of the most
valuable slots, which is usually very hard to fill with a high item level and
perfect combination of stats. It provides one of the best throughputs out of
all legendaries, does it in a way that perfectly synergises with your toolkit
and lines up with
Essence of G'Hanir decently well. It can provide
anywhere between 5-10% throughput from both effects combined. Wear it at all
times.
Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus is a strong defensive and throughput
option. It has a higher than usual amount of secondary stats compared to other
jewelry legendaries. The shield can be increased by shifting into
Bear Form before it procs. It is a very strong option for higher level
Mythic+ to prevent one-shots.
Aman'Thul's Wisdom has very good synergy with the 4-piece Tier 19 Set
Bonus. These two combined will provide you with so many
Rejuvenations,
you will have to take the
Germination talent on pretty much every
fight. It is a pretty bad to average option for small 10-12-man raids and
Mythic+.
The Dark Titan's Advice is the best tank/debuff healing legendary.
Whenever you lack tank healing or are doing Mythic+, this legendary will
provide substantial throughput. It is a bit unreliable on first glance, but
since
Lifebloom tick rate is so fast, it will proc quite often.
Soul of the Archdruid is a somewhat under-budgeted legendary that gives
you the
Soul of the Forest talent. It is a bit clunky to use
when combined with the 4-piece Tier 20 Set Bonus, but when used effectively
will yield decent healing.
Sephuz's Secret can range from bad to really good depending on how
often you can proc the effect. If an encounter has dispels on a semi-frequent
timer or adds that you can root, it will shine. It is especially good in
Mythic+, where you can use
Mass Entanglement and proc it very often.
Keep in mind that
Typhoon does not proc it and only the sucking back
portion of
Ursol's Vortex does.
Chameleon Song is a high variance legendary, which is generally not
ideal. It can provide solid numbers, if you have access to
Greater Blessing of Wisdom or external
Innervates, due to getting the
ability to cast
Wild Growths more often. Downsides of this item include
not being able to blink during Tree of Life without losing the effect (and
being unable to regain it unless you are using the
Incarnation: Tree of Life talent, which we do not recommend) and being
extremely unreliable.
Tearstone of Elune provides 0.9
Rejuvenations on average per
Wild Growth cast. It is decently strong on heavy AoE encounters and
since Wild Growth always targets the lowest-health members of the group in
range, these procced Rejuvenations are going to do effective healing and maybe
even proc
Cultivation. It is a bit overshadowed by optimally used
Soul of the Archdruid and
Aman'Thul's Wisdom with the 4-piece Tier
19 Set Bonus.
Edraith, Bonds of Aglaya is a strong tank healing legendary. It
requires
Cenarion Ward to be used. It is outshined a bit by
The Dark Titan's Advice. It becomes awkward to use once you start using the
2-piece Tier 20 Set Bonus and will probably become even worse then.
Ekowraith, Creator of Worlds is a really bland legendary. It is
basically a stat stick. It increases the power of your
Ysera's Gift,
which provides small healing increase. It is worth 4.5% damage reduction with
Guardian Affinity, 3.75 yards with
Balance Affinity, and 11% movement speed with
Feral Affinity. It is really good if you have low item
level, because of how many stats it has.
Essence of Infusion increases the power of a spell that already does
too much.
X'oni's Caress improves your tank healing capabilities. It is simply
worse than the belt and bracers at what it does and the niche in offering more
frequent access to the tank cooldown has been useless so far.
Chatoyant Signet is a Feral-specific legendary. It increases your
Energy regeneration by 5% and maximum Energy by 100 while in
Cat Form.
It is a very good DPS legendary, allowing you to pool more Energy when using
Moonfire and
Sunfire, giving you more time to heal without
losing on potential Energy-using abilities.
Lady and the Child is a Balance-specific legendary.
Moonfire
deals 20% increased damage and also hits another nearby enemy within 20 yards
of the target. It is another good DPS legendary. Unfortunately, it takes up a
tier slot, so it is not a popular option for progression raiding even if you
need more damage. It is, however, very good for Mythic+ damage since you do not
use tier pieces except for the 2-piece Tier 19 there.
Kil'jaeden's Burning Wish is a legendary available for both Feral and
Balance. It is a very good stat stick, which is a great trinket for AoE damage
on-use. It is a good DPS option for Mythic+ and raiding.
3. Loot Competition
Regarding the loot you will get from raid or dungeon bosses, you will compete with other classes in the following cases:
| Item Type | Competing Classes |

| Leather Armor | Demon Hunters, Balance/Feral/Guardian Druids, Monks, and Rogues |
