1. Gems

You should use Saber's Eye of Intellect in one socket, and Deadly Eye of Prophecy in all other sockets.

If you have the Tier 20 4-set bonus, you should instead use Versatile Maelstrom Sapphire.

2. Enchants

3. Consumables

Flask of the Whispered Pact should be used for raids. Lemon Herb Filet is our go-to food, granting 1% total Versatility (475 rating in total — 100 more than any other secondary stat food). An equally compelling alternative that is raid wide is the Lavish Suramar Feast for the +500 Intellect buff (or the cheaper Hearty Feast if you cannot afford the +500 food). Ancient Healing Potion should be used in place of Healthstones.

Potion of Prolonged Power is the ideal choice in most situations. Potion of Deadly Grace is an option for extremely short single target encounters but is otherwise no longer a competitive option.

If you can afford it, you should also use the Legion augment rune: Defiled Augment Rune. Note that it now works in Mythic+ dungeons (it did not used to).
