Brewmaster Monk Tank Easy Mode

This section is intended for players who are new to the game or class, have no intentions of raiding Mythic difficulty, or simply want a more straightforward way to play their specialization without being overwhelmed by the numerous priorities and active abilities that need to be taken into consideration for optimal play.

1. The Basics

Brewmaster is a sturdy brawler that combines great mobility with surprising sturdiness. While some of the talents can be a little complex in nature, we will be focusing on a setup that minimizes the amount of buttons and reactivity necessary without unduly compromising your ability to take a hit.

2. Talent Choice

These choices are optimized for ease of use. Although some talents might offer marginally higher gains when played perfectly, these same talents often result in damage losses or more damage taken when utilized by less seasoned players. These talents aim to present the best setup that has very little punishment for unfamiliarity or mistakes.

Level 15: Eye of the Tiger
Level 30: Chi Torpedo
Level 45: Gift of the Mists
Level 60: Leg Sweep
Level 75: Healing Elixir or Mystic Vitality
Level 90: Special Delivery
Level 100: High Tolerance

3. Stat Choice

Currently, you will want to prioritize secondary stats as follows:

Mastery = Critical Strike = Versatility;
Haste to 14.3%;

Prioritize item level above all else, as your stats are all roughly equal in value. Reaching 14.3% Haste allows Keg Smash Icon Keg Smash to have a cooldown under 7 seconds, however, this is not a priority. Any Haste over 14.3% is entirely wasted and items with Haste should be avoided.

4. Basic Rotation

Cast Keg Smash when available.
Cast Blackout Strike when available.
Use Tiger Palm if you have 65+ Energy.
Cast Breath of Fire when available.
Use Exploding Keg for powerful AoE burst and as a defensive cooldown for spooky packs.
Use Fortifying Brew if you are about to take a large amount of damage.
Use Ironskin Brew before large hits to reduce the Stagger value.
Use Purifying Brew when your Stagger is high to clear it.
