Restoration Druid Healing Stat Priority (Legion 7.2.5)
Table of Contents
General Information
On this page, we explain what the best statistics are for Restoration Druids in World of Warcraft Legion 7.2.5, how the class benefits from each of them.
The statistics priority is important as it influences itemisation choices (gear, enchants, and gems).
The other pages of our Restoration Druid guide can be accessed from the table of contents on the right.
About Our Reviewer
This guide has been reviewed and approved by Torty, a theorycrafter in the Dreamgrove Discord server, author of this Restoration Druid spreadsheet, and currently raiding in Pure.
1. Basics
The stat priority for a Restoration Druid depends on whether you plan on healing the raid, or healing tanks (as well as Mythic+ dungeons).
Stat values change depending on your gear, the content you are doing, and your spell choices. There are no universal weights. They will change every time you swap a piece of gear. You can use the RDSW WeakAura or Twig It spreadsheet to get more accurate weights.
Having said all that, there will be very few actual situations where item level upgrades will not be actual upgrades. Sockets are usually worth around 5 item levels, and Leech on the first 2-3 pieces is worth about 10 item levels.
1.1. Raid Healing
- Intellect;
- Mastery;
- Haste ~= Critical Strike;
- Versatility.
1.2. Tank / Mythic+ Healing
- Mastery >= Haste;
- Intellect;
- Critical Strike;
- Versatility.
2. Getting a Better Understanding
2.1. Statistics Explanations
Intellect is your primary stat. You should look for this stat in all of your upgrades. It provides you with Spell Power, which increases the power of your heals.
Haste is important because it lowers the cast time of your heals as well as your global cooldown.
Mastery (
Mastery: Harmony) increases the healing you do
to targets affected by your HoTs by an amount (determined by your Mastery
level) for each active HoT.
Critical Strike increases your chance to critically hit with all spells and abilities.
Versatility increases all your damage and healing done, and decreases all damage taken.
