1. Basics
The stat priority for Havoc Demon Hunter differs depending on your talent selections currently, which is again influenced by your legendary choices. The priority is:
- Critical Strike;
- Haste;
- Versatility;
- Agility;
- Mastery.
1.1. Breakpoints
No breakpoints or soft caps currently exist for Havoc, and stats remain relatively similar regardless of your gear state.
1.2. Getting a Better Understanding
1.3. Statistics
Agility is your primary statistic. You should look for it in all of your upgrades. It provides you with Attack Power, which determines the damage your abilities do.
Critical Strike provides additional damage to your attacks and abilities, and
also grants your
Chaos Strike a chance to refund 50% of its cost.
Mastery increases all Chaos damage you deal through
Mastery: Demonic Presence,
and increases your passive movement speed by the same amount.
Haste grants a number of different increases, increasing the auto-attack
speed, reducing the Global Cooldown recovery time, reduces the base cooldown of
Blade Dance/
Death Sweep alongside
Throw Glaive.
Versatility provides a flat damage dealt boost and damage taken reduction.
1.4. 7.2.5 Stat Changes
With addition of the new Tier 20 bonuses, Critical Strike and Haste have both moved up
significantly in value due to the synergy with
Blade Dance and the base rotation.
Conversely, Mastery has reduced in value significantly due to the
Chaos Blades
change, removing scaling. Due to this gearing has changed quite substantially in 7.2.5 for
Havoc.
