Fury Warrior DPS Easy Mode
Table of Contents
This section is intended for players who are new to the game or class, have no intentions of raiding Mythic difficulty, or simply want a more straightforward way to play their specialization without being overwhelmed by the numerous priorities and active abilities that need to be taken into consideration for optimal play.
1. The Basics
Fury as a specialization is very fluid, focused entirely around the flow of your Rage status and buffs/abilities currently available. In many cases some of the more raid oriented talents are not strictly more complicated, but instead play into more fringe situations creating a meta-decision of which talent to pick when. The build selected here provides the most universal coverage whilst maintaining an ease of entry to new players to grasp the Fury toolkit.
The core mechanic for Fury to keep in mind is
Enrage, increasing
attack speed by 100% and all damage dealt relative to your
Mastery: Unshackled Fury.
This can be activated both through
Bloodthirst critical strikes and
Rampage casts, increasing your Rage generation to flow into new windows
creating a powerful feedback loop to capitalise upon. This is the key aspect to
grasp the basics of Fury, so when learning the spec it should be your focus.
2. Talent Choice
The talents listed below are selected predominantly for ease of use and to mitigate more complex decisions when it comes to resource management. Whilst in a number of cases there are alternatives on the tree that will provide more if played well if selected at the right time in a given situation, they can cause a large performance drop if taken at the wrong time; so this should be taken as an introduction to Fury to get a grasp of the specialization.
- Level 15:
Endless Rage - Level 30:
Double Time - Level 45:
Wrecking Ball - Level 60:
Warpaint - Level 75:
Frothing Berserker - Level 90:
Inner Rage - Level 100:
Reckless Abandon.
3. Stat Choice
The current Fury stat priority is as follows when using this build:
- Haste;
- Mastery;
- Versatility;
- Strength;
- Critical Strike.
Haste is exceptionally valuable as it allows for increased Rage generation,
hastening the activation of
Rampage casts to maintain your
Enrage
effect, alongside allowing for additional global cooldowns during each Enrage
window. Mastery enhances your Enrages, so follows closely behind, both of which
outscale Strength currently. Versatility and Critical Strike fall quite far behind
due to their lack of interaction with the core of Fury.
4. Basic Rotation
- Cast
Whirlwind at 3 or above targets to activate
Meat Cleaver. - Cast
Rampage at 100 Rage, and the target is above 20% health. - Use
Battle Cry for a burst of damage. - Cast
Bloodthirst if not currently
Enraged. - Cast
Odyn's Fury whilst
Enraged and
Battle Cry is active. - Cast
Execute on targets below 20% health with
Enrage active. - Cast
Raging Blow. - Cast
Whirlwind if
Wrecking Ball is active. - Cast
Bloodthirst even if already
Enraged. - Cast
Furious Slash if nothing else is available.
Note here that the build focuses entirely on getting into an
Enrage
effect as often as possible. Whilst some skills can be used more effectively
by managing them in specific situations, this is covered in the advanced section,
so the rotation above should provide the best when learning the basics of Fury.
