The statistics priority is important as it influences itemisation choices (gear, enchants, and gems).

1. Basics

The stat priority for a Mistweaver Monk is different depending on whether or not you are Fistweaving, and we also provide a different stat priority for Mythic+ dungeons.

For stat weights, we recommend checking out this spreadsheet (credit goes to Garg).

1.1. Mistweaving

If you are not Fistweaving, you should use the following stat priority.

1. Intellect;
2. Critical Strike;
3. Versatility;
4. Haste;
5. Mastery.

1.2. Fistweaving

1. Intellect;
2. Versatility;
3. Haste >= Critical Strike;
4. Mastery.

Note that Critical Strike is better than Haste if you have Mana problems. Haste is the better DPS stat, and also a better stat if you simply do not have Mana issues. Depending on how you are doing with Mana, you will want to strike a balance between these two stats.

1.3. Mythic+

1. Intellect;
2. Haste = Mastery;
3. Versatility;
4. Critical Strike.

We recommend that you keep your Haste and Mastery as close as possible.

2. Getting a Better Understanding

2.1. Statistics Explanations

Intellect is your primary stat. You should look for this stat in all of your upgrades. It provides you with Spell Power, which increases the power of your heals.

Critical Strike increases your healing throughput by granting your healing spells a chance to heal for double the amount.

Versatility increases all your damage and healing done, and decreases all damage taken.

Haste lowers the cast time of your heals, as well as your global cooldown and the cooldowns of Blackout Kick and Rising Sun Kick.

Mastery ( Mastery: Gust of Mists) causes Effuse, Renewing Mist, Enveloping Mist, and Vivify heals to also heal the primary target for a certain amount (determined by how much Mastery you have).
